Stewardship

We’re back! If we’re being honest, twenty-five years is a pretty long time to leave the ‘Gone Fishing’ sign on the Stewardship door, but as of June 2024 we finally traded the fishing rods of a mere function in the Secretariat department for personal, missional and organisational stewardship based on biblical principles with a full-time director and the British Union Conference Stewardship Working Group (B’Stew). Appreciation to the Trans-European Division for their investment in the department.

Prior to 2024, the last time the department was fully functional was the days of dial-up internet and chunky monitors; so we claimed Joel 2:25 (NKJV): ‘I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten.’ We aren’t saying that the last two and a half decades have been a plague, but we have tried to make up for lost time!

Buckle up – it’s time to see what happened when a quarter-century of grace met a brand-new ‘God First’-driven chapter of stewardship.
